Flexible Approach

The key to Mountain Park’s success is the school’s flexible approach in providing its students a quality education. Mountain Park counselors and administration create a learning plan for every student that addresses his or her unique needs and circumstances and puts them on a pathway to achievement. If a student is very motivated and has significant time constraints, the Mountain Park Virtual Academy is an excellent option. If a student needs more support, Mountain Park provides on-campus or hybrid courses to provide that support. If a student needs credit recovery, Mountain Park has ways to accelerate making up those courses. Whatever needs students bring, Mountain Park meets them.

Career Pathways for All Students

Mountain Park School recognizes the importance of preparing its students to meet college- and career-readiness standards. Many independent students work very hard on their courses, but do not make the connection between course work and an eventual career. Mountain Park offers has the Career Pathways for All Students (CPAS) program. In concert with MUSD, Mountain Park offers numerous career pathways so students connect course work to an eventual career. Whether students plan to earn a Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree or move straight to the workforce, Mountain Park lays out a clear path to a career and helps students get there. CPAS promotes a three-step approach: Career Awareness, Career Readiness, and Career Education. The result: students connect course work to achieving a fulfilling career and learn that postsecondary education means better opportunities.

Extra-Curricular Programs
